The story behind the image

We were listening to the chanting of the Monks in the Swayambunath Monastery when I noticed this young boy, looking a bit bored and half asleep. But suddenly he grabbed his sticks and started beating the huge drum. That was what he was actually supposed to do, as did some others at exact the same moment, he was just very concentrated beforehand, waiting for the right moment :-)
Right after his intermezzo, he went back into his dreamlike stare for a while and when the light of the reflecting sun hit him, I could take this image. Peaceful place..
