Nice picture Harry. I like the framing, especially with the overexposed out-of-focus clouds on the back ground. I see two doggies with floppy ears playfully running after their master. I start to believe that that must be what the women are looking at…

This photo is top notch. The framing, composition, muted colors with the clouds out of focus…really nice!!!!!

Very nice picture! Like Romke said the framing is very good.

I\'ve read your book, by the way, a really impressive story.

    Ik ben onder de indruk…

    Hi Harry,
    Groet, Ineke Oolders

The story behind "Three Uros women on lake Titicaca, Peru"

Three women with the typical long braids and hats wave goodbye to a boat of tourist.

There are almost no more original Uros people left, but still the floating islands they live on are populated by a few thousand people. Originally a refuge, these islands are (wo)man-made of reed.

The islands are just a half hour boat ride away from the city of Puno, on teh western side of lake Titicaca, with 3800m altitude the highest navigable lake in the world…
