This was one of many women and children -strangely enough there were very few men- selling a small collection of quite random stuff like toilet paper, CD carriers, incense, toothbrushes and her prize possession: scales, where you can weigh yourself for a few cents..
Patiently she was waiting every day, in her old wheelchair, in front of a church, just a few blocks off the main square in beautiful Cusco, the ancient and now tourist city located at 3300m (10k ft) in the highlands of Peru.
First I made this black and white, but I am not really comfortable with that (yet), so I let a few colours shine through, to make her look a little less sad :)
