Begging woman with Child at Swayambunath, Kathmandu

The story behind the image
One more of this wonderful place. I has been taking many pictures during my visits here, but it was difficult to capture the uniqueness of this place, something you will feel once there.
I was setting up my monopod to catch the sun setting behind the Stupa, when this woman came begging for money. She was quite persistent and only stepped back from touching me a few second before this shot. The impressive architecture, combined with the apparent smile on this crying woman, the look in the baby’s eyes and the accidental bird that just flew into the shot makes this special for me.

This shot is really disturbing / depressing, the expressions on the faces, especially the concern in the face of the child.
