Kislovodsk used to be quite a popular and busy town due to all the springwater spa's. But due to the proximity of the war in Chechnya, most tourists have stayed away. In the city you do not notice anything from the war, but sometimes you see quiet evidence like these blue UNHCR sheets, usually used for refugee camps..
