I always found it impossible to take pictures of people as they behave natural. Once a stranger sees you with your big camera, either he radically changes his facial expression, either he turns away from you. I guess this is what make this capture so special. The man was looking straight in your lens and still behaved natural.

@Doro, thanks for your coments. Yes, I agree, and it only works if the subjects trust you. In this case we had talked and walked with these guys for several days instead of sticking a lens in their face the first moment we met them :)

Paulo and his friends had come early in the season, preparing for the selling of Massai bracelets on the white beaches of Zanzibar. Besides being pretty fluently in Italian, his hidden cell-phone was another surprise that on one hand did not fit the picture, but on the other completed it :)
This is possibly the best photo I’ve seen in a long time. The cell phone is what makes it. So rad! Your a master of your craft.
What a contrast on that picture! a guy dressed like a native with a cell phone, the best of both worlds captured in a single image, outstanding
