The Rio Napo is one of the main tributaries of the Amazon river and merges with it in Peru. It is one of the more obscure and adventurous ways of travelling between Peru and Ecuador. There are a few small communities along the river, but any real city is weeks away by canoo and still many days with motorized boats.
