The story behind "Sunset at the Ice cream oasis in USA"

This was taken somewhere near the edge of the Middle of Nowhere, USA. I think it was close to the border of Nevada, Death Valley side.

I was driving alone through the deserted area and stopped to watch the magnificent sunset. Frankly also the signs saying Pizza, Open, and Icecream made my heart jump a bit, and I was ready to overpay to anybody brave enough to open up a pizza and icecream place over here.
But alas, they were not so Open as the sign suggested…
