Flowermarket in Guatemala

The story behind "Flowermarket in Guatemala"

One of my friends is currently back in his home country Guatemala and he wrote me this week that he was shocked by the poverty. It will take more time to overcome a full generation of civil war and replace it with happy and productive people again.

Warloving governments around the world do not see the devastating impact wars have on next generations and Guatemala is the living proof as there are too many people without education, fathers or suns.

But this country is so beautiful and a pleasure to visit, so if you want to help rebuild it and support the people of one of the most wonderful places on our planet, do visit them if only for visiting colorful places like the above, climb some volcanoes, visit ancient hidden cities, or learn Spanish. I did all and cannot wait to get back.
