Muddy? I can see the road is narrow, winding, exposed and scary in general, but you don\'t mean it is also … slippery, do you?

Yip Romke, it is often very slippery..i travelled it in 2001 from Tibet towards Nepal, very scary decent..unfortunally we had a driver who thought he was Colin McRea himself (R.I.P)

Tibet is mostly on a high plateau, but neighbour Nepal is about 3 kilometers lower. At the only bordercrossing a muddy road fights its way up the old continental divide - the Himalayas are a result of the collision of the Indian subcontinent and Eurasia.Strangely enough the dirt road is called the Friendship Highway, while going through
