The Central Park in New York is a wonderful place. It is the most visited park in the USA, which is not so surprising as millions of people live within a few kilometers of it.
Influenced by the Bois de Boulogne in Paris and Hyde park in London, New Yorkers felt they also needed a place to get away from all the business in the city and so in the late 1850’s the construction began (including eviction of 1600 people who lived in the area).
Though totally landscaped (not natural) it is still a haven, the nature and places like this ice skating rink give people a chance to unwind from the busy life of the big city of dreams.
