Paulo and his friends had come early in the season, preparing for the selling of Massai bracelets on the white beaches of Zanzibar. Besides being pretty fluently in Italian, his hidden cell-phone was another surprise that on one hand did not fit the picture, but on the other completed it

I always found it impossible to take pictures of people as they behave natural. Once a stranger sees you with your big camera, either he radically changes his facial expression, either he turns away from you. I guess this is what make this capture so special. The man was looking straight in your lens and still behaved natural.

@Doro, thanks for your coments. Yes, I agree, and it only works if the subjects trust you. In this case we had talked and walked with these guys for several days instead of sticking a lens in their face the first moment we met them
