I am not sure why, but a lot of children in Tibet have these band-aids on their face, mostly in the same spots. It made me feel that they use it as some kind of surrogate medicine, in a way that the original usage has been replaced by an association of relieving pain by just wearing them....

But maybe I am just ignorant and is it part of a Buddhist ritual, anyone knows?
